Chargers score season-high 90 points in win
Five players scored in double figures for the Sandburg men’s basketball team in a 90-69 win at St. Ambrose junior varsity in Davenport, Iowa, on Nov. 20.
The Chargers (4-3) recorded their most points in a game this year and knocked down a season-high 16 3-pointers on the night as they snapped a three-game skid.
Sophomore Keauntrey Barnes topped Sandburg with 20 points, including a team-leading four 3s, in the victory.
Rylan Carton connected on three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points. Griffin Briles also drained three treys and scored 11 on the night. It marked Briles’ first double-digit outing as a Charger.
Larry Olivier Jr. and Gavin Grothaus each tallied 10 points in the victory for Sandburg.
The Chargers are back in action at 3 p.m. Nov. 29 vs. St. Louis.
