The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team closed its regular-season home schedule with an 88-46 win over Black Hawk on Feb. 17, extending its winning streak to five games.

The Chargers (21-8, 9-1), who clinched their third straight Arrowhead Conference title last week, improved to eight wins in their past nine games.

Leading 8-6 midway through the first quarter, Sandburg closed the period on an 18-2 run. Antonia Kisler sparked the surge with three consecutive 3-pointers, and Tyriunna Steele added another during the stretch.

After Black Hawk trimmed the margin to 26-10 early in the second quarter, Sandburg scored 13 straight points. Hailey Redding began the run with back-to-back baskets and later converted a three-point play. The Chargers led 51-23 at halftime.

Kisler and Tiera Hall each recorded double-doubles. Kisler finished with 27 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 10 of 21 from the field and 5 of 9 from 3-point range. It was her seventh 20-point game of the season.

Hall added 12 points, 13 rebounds and four steals.

Redding scored 22 points off the bench, her eighth 20-point performance of the season, and added seven rebounds. Camryn Atterberg contributed 11 rebounds and four blocked shots in a reserve role.

Kisler, Hall, Steele, Paige Huffman, Janessa Wallace and Lillian Covarrubias were honored in their final regular-season home game.

Sandburg concludes the regular season at 1 p.m. Feb. 21 at Madison.
