Bridgeway will host its first Judy’s Pancake 5K, Fun Run and Family Day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, near the Hawthorne Center in Galesburg.
The fundraiser will support people with disabilities and mental health needs who live in Bridgeway residential programs. Proceeds will help fund community outings and recreational activities throughout the year, including trips to baseball games, zoos, movies and other events.
The event will include a 5K race at 8 a.m., a kids fun run at 9 a.m. and a cornhole tournament at 10:30 a.m. Food trucks, craft and community vendors, outdoor games and family activities also are planned.
Large outdoor games will include giant versions of Tetris, Guess Who, Connect Four, Yahtzee, Kerplunk and Jenga.
“We are incredibly excited to bring the community together for this event while raising funds for meaningful experiences for the individuals we serve,” said Alyssa Hart, vice president of disability services at Bridgeway.
