Sandwiches for Seniors

McAlister’s Deli will donate 20 percent of purchases made during the event to the VNA’s Sunshine for Seniors program, which supports seniors in Knox County

Rich Ankeney exhibit reception

A reception for Galesburg artist and photographer Rich Ankeney will be held at Monmouth College. The reception is part of Golden Scots Celebration activities. Ankeney’s exhibition, “Improvisations in Light,” will remain on display through July 31.

First Fridays on Seminary Street

The summer series returns with live music by Bits and Pieces, children’s activities by Discovery Depot, food, shopping and community activities. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Spirits for Seniors

The Bar 65 will donate $1 for every charity cocktail sold during June to support food-insecure seniors in Knox County.

Vendors will offer fresh and locally grown foods, plants, handmade items and other goods.

Teens and adults may visit the Tech Lab with or without an appointment.

Yoga at Lake Storey

Participants may join a free, hourlong outdoor yoga session each Saturday this summer. The June 6 session will include a special kickoff event with prize drawings. No yoga will be held July 4.

Color Mixing and Matching with Ana V. Fleming

Ana V. Fleming will cover the essentials of color mixing and matching to help participants create a more intentional palette. The class is suitable for all skill levels.

Design a Floating Building

Participants may test their engineering skills by designing a floating building during a weekend activity at Discovery Depot

Weekly bingo will be offered. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

Second annual Putt for Purple

The four-person scramble golf outing will benefit the Ohl Strong Foundation, which supports families affected by pancreatic cancer. The event includes 18 holes, contest prizes, raffle packages, post-round awards, a meal and social time. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m.

The Orpheum Theatre will show the R-rated film “Bride Hard,” starring Justin Hartley.

Lou Greco and Carlo Russo will present live original music, sketch comedy, stand-up and improv. Uncle Larry Reeb will open the show.

Knox College commencement

Knox College will hold its 2026 commencement ceremony on the South Lawn of Old Main. No tickets are required, and there is no limit on the number of guests graduates may bring.

Seventh annual Pride Picnic

The picnic will include a meal, children’s activities, adult games, arts and crafts, Drag Story Hour and free, confidential sexual health testing and information from a mobile unit. Meat, a vegetarian meat option, chips, side dishes, dessert, water and Kool-Aid will be provided.
