A pickle-themed festival is planned June 12-14 at Opie’s Bar & Grill.

McAlister’s Deli will donate 20 percent of Friday evening sales in June to support Sunshine for Seniors, which helps seniors in Knox County.

Teen Night Swim
The first teen night swim of the summer will feature a Y2K theme, music from the early 2000s, concessions, both pools and the waterslide. The event is for ages 12-18.

Galesburg Farmers Market

Yoga in the Park
A summer yoga session will be held at Lake Storey Park. Participants are encouraged to preregister.

Second Saturdays: Fishing Fun
Participants will learn the basics of fishing, then walk to the trailside dock in the Lakeside Nature Center woods to fish. Equipment will be available, though participants may bring their own. Anyone 17 or older must have a fishing license.

Printmaking Open Studio Certification with Nikki Ponce
Nikki Ponce will lead the first session of a two-part training course required for independent use of the Printmaking Studio during open studio sessions. Participants will learn proper practices for printmaking techniques, press settings, setup and cleanup.

Ice Cream Cone Volcanoes
Children can learn about science through experiments during Science Saturday at Discovery Depot.

Juneteenth Soul Food Celebration at Allen Chapel

Jimmy’s Pizza will donate $3 for every large pizza sold on Saturdays during June to support food-insecure seniors in Knox County.

Dancers’ Studio will present a ballet based on the legendary “Don Quixote” ballet.

Kayak Nights
Participants may rent a kayak or bring their own for an evening paddle at Lake Storey Beach. All ages are welcome, but those 17 and younger must be accompanied by a registered adult. At least five registrants are needed by the Thursday before the session, or the event may be canceled.
