Knox defeats Greenville in overtime

Senior Russell Wright scored 30 points and was among four Prairie Fire players to set career highs as visiting Knox (5-3) earned a 131-127 overtime victory over Greenville University (2-7) on Wednesday.
The 131 points were the most scored by the Prairie Fire since February 1991. The last Knox team to surpass that mark was the 1990-91 squad, which defeated Grinnell 138-119 on Feb. 15, 1991.
Knox shot 66.3% (57-for-86) from the field — its fourth-best shooting performance over the past 20 years — but just 51.7% (15-for-29) from the free-throw line.

The Prairie Fire overcame 33 turnovers, holding Greenville to 44-for-106 shooting (.415) and outrebounding the Panthers 59-42, the program’s second-highest rebound total in a game over the past 20 years.
Wright finished 13-for-17 from the field and added 12 rebounds — matching a career high — along with seven assists for his second double-double of the season and fifth of his career.
Other career-high scoring performances came from Stewart with 25 points (9-for-12), junior Denim Tuala-Fata with 22 (11-for-14) and sophomore Noah Campbell with 11 (11-for-15).
