The Knox County YMCA will participate in the Summer Food Service Program, also known as SUN Meals, to provide free lunches to children and teens this summer.
The program is designed to help children maintain access to nutritious meals when school is not in session. Meals will be available June 1 through Aug. 10 for children ages 18 and younger.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following open meal sites:
- Knox County YMCA Family Branch, 1324 W. Carl Sandburg Drive, Galesburg
- Cedar Creek Place, 1598 McKnight St., Galesburg
- Whispering Hollow, 1064 W. South St., Galesburg
- All Star Sports Skate Palace, 1855 E. Knox St., Galesburg
No application or registration is required. Meals must be eaten on site, and only one lunch will be served to each child. Adult meals and second meals will not be available.
