KNOXVILLE, Ill. — Historic Walnut Grove Farm will host a Spring Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, offering visitors an opportunity to connect with local event professionals while enjoying entertainment, food, inspiration and farm tours.

The open house will feature more than 15 local vendors specializing in event planning services, including weddings, graduations, anniversaries and other special occasions. Attendees can meet professionals in catering, rentals, formal wear, florals, beauty services, travel, invitations and entertainment.

Live entertainment is scheduled throughout the day. The event will be emceed by Fyr Doc. DJ Joan Wright will perform from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by singer and guitarist Thomas G from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Taproot Wranglers will perform from 1 to 2 p.m.

Dance demonstrations by Jon Young of Young’s Dance Studio are scheduled for 11:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

The first 50 registered attendees will receive a swag bag provided by Ducky’s Formal Wear of Galesburg.

Historic Walnut Grove Farm has hosted events for more than 30 years, including weddings, private celebrations and community gatherings. During the open house, guided tours of the barn, walnut grove and guest house will be available, led by family members and staff.

“We are proud to showcase such a talented group of event professionals at our historic venue,” organizers said in a statement. “Guests can explore ideas, make connections and experience what Walnut Grove Farm has to offer.”

Walnut Grove Farm is located one-half mile north of Knoxville on Carr Street.
