GALESBURG, Ill. — The city of Galesburg is auctioning off retired vehicles and supplies through PurpleWave Auction. The online platform operates on a no-reserve format, where items are sold to the highest bidder.
Those interested can view items and place bids by creating a free account at www.purplewave.com. A 10 percent buyer’s premium will be added to all purchases. The auction closes Oct. 28, and winning bidders will be notified by email and invoiced for payment. Once payment is complete, buyers can arrange to pick up their items.
