The Friends of the Galesburg Public Library will hold a three-day book sale May 1–3 in the library’s Community Room, 264 W. Main St.

The fundraiser will feature a wide selection of used materials, including fiction and nonfiction books, children’s and young adult titles, mysteries, how-to and craft books, science fiction, history and biographies, as well as DVDs, CDs and puzzles.

Prices are set at $2 for hardbound books, $1 for paperbacks, two children’s books for $1, and $1 each for DVDs and CDs.

A preview sale for Friends members will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 1. Memberships will be available at the door for $10 annually.

The public sale will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 2. A $5 bag sale is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 3. Saturday and Sunday events are free and open to the public.

Donations for the sale will be accepted at the library from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays through April 25.
