The City of Galesburg has announced summer schedules for its aquatic facilities and outdoor recreation amenities, with Lakeside Water Park, splash pads, wading pools and other seasonal attractions now open through Labor Day weekend.

Lakeside Water Park, 1033 S. Lake Storey Road, features two pools, multiple water slides and interactive play areas. Daily admission is $8, with season memberships and punch cards available.

The city also announced progress on the Lake Storey Park walking trail expansion, which required lowered lake levels during construction. Officials said the embankment work was completed ahead of schedule, allowing lake levels to begin rising naturally for summer recreation. Swimming and boat rentals at Lake Storey Beach will open once water levels are sufficient.

Free splash pads at Rotary Park and Kiwanis Park, along with wading pools at Lincoln Park, O.N. Custer Park and H.T. Custer Park, are also open for the season. A new splash pad at Cooke Park is expected to open in June.

In addition, Bunker Links Golf Course and Allison Campground are open for the season, while Hawthorne Pool continues to offer year-round indoor swimming opportunities.
