Dinner theater will return to Prairie Players Civic Theatre next month with The Case of the Kooky Clairvoyant, scheduled for Feb. 20 and 21 at 160 S. Seminary St. in Galesburg.

The production, written and directed by Kenny Knox, centers on celebrity psychic Madam Babushka, who arrives in town to demonstrate her supernatural abilities while promoting a new cookbook, Baking with Babushka. During a séance, she warns that one of her guests is in grave danger, setting the stage for a comedic mystery involving a washed-up actress, a college professor and a mysterious stranger.

Members of the Prairie Players cast of The Case of the Kooky Clairvoyant are shown. Front row, from left: Kenny Knox, Heather Norman, Kathleen Bashem and Lydia Perrilles. Back row, from left: Sarah Smith, Tim Holmes, Adam Chasteen and Zach Hunter. The dinner theater production will be performed Feb. 20 and 21 in Galesburg.

The show blends audience participation, humor and mystery as questions arise about whether Madam Babushka truly has psychic powers or if something else is at work.

Performances will be presented in a dinner theater format. Tickets cost $50 and include salad, a pasta dinner, dessert and the performance. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
