Monmouth College will hold its 169th annual commencement ceremony at noon May 17 on Wallace Hall Plaza, with alumnus and attorney Brad Nahrstadt delivering the commencement address.
Approximately 175 graduates are expected to participate in the ceremony. The rain site will be the Huff Athletic Center.
Nahrstadt, a 1989 Monmouth graduate and longtime college trustee, recently completed a 30-year legal career and currently serves as grand president of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He also has authored several books on early 20th-century politics, with a new book scheduled for publication later this year.
Student speaker Turner Plumer of Canton also will address the graduating class.
Additional commencement weekend events include a baccalaureate service at 2 p.m. May 16 in Dahl Chapel and Auditorium featuring former Monmouth chaplain the Rev. Dr. Kathleen Fannin.
