GALESBURG — The Galesburg Community Arts Center will celebrate 17 years of Great Bowls of Soup with an expanded, three-floor event from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.
Guests can explore all levels of the Arts Center for a “Great-Great-GREAT Bowls of Soup” experience, selecting a handmade bowl, sampling a flight of soups from local restaurants, listening to live music, and viewing the “ExSOUPbition.” The evening will also feature wheel-throwing demonstrations, desserts, charcuterie, and a silent auction.
Bowls created by local and regional artists — including Chris Dokolasa, Jason Connell, Janis Mars Wunderlich, Christi Steelman, Linda Sickmon, Katherine McCrery, Ann Klungseth, Jeff Goard, Piper Pottery, and Jeanne Clark — will be available for purchase.
Two ticket options are offered. Early-access Very Important Bowl (VIB) tickets are $65 and include first choice of bowls, a five-soup flight with bread, cocktails, charcuterie, dessert, and music. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Regular VIB tickets are $50, with doors opening at 5 p.m.
Tickets are available at galesburgarts.networkforgood.com.
