Quincy’s Blue Devils came to Galesburg on Oct. 9 and defeated the Silver Streaks 25-21, 25-17 in a Western Big 6 matchup.
The loss leaves the Streaks with a 7-13 overall record and 2-9 in the conference. Quincy improved to 21-3 overall and 11-0 in the Western Big 6.
The Silver Streaks will be busy Oct. 11 with four matches that day. They play Naperville Central at 10 a.m., Dixon at 11 a.m., Oak Forest at 1 p.m. and Yorkville Christian at 2 p.m.
Soccer: Washington 8, Galesburg 0
Washington added another victory to its impressive 19-1-1 season with an 8-0 nonconference road win at Galesburg on Oct. 9.
The Silver Streaks dropped to 6-8-1 overall and remain 1-3 in the Western Big 6.
Galesburg hosts Pekin at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 11, then plays at Orion/Sherrard on Oct. 13. Pekin is 4-15 on the season; Orion/Sherrard is 4-7-2.
